www.cariboumusic.org Scrapbook Fundraiser to benefit Caribou High School Music Building project CARIBOU, MAINE,—Sandy Marrett will be holding a scrapbook course in the Cafeteria at Caribou High School on Wednesday, April 27; Friday, April 29; Monday, May 2; and Thursday, May 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Classes cost $10 each and half of the proceeds will go towards the Caribou High School Music Building Fund, a student-initiated non-profit organization raising $2.7 million for a new music facility at Caribou High School. Marrett will teach those in attendance how to quickly and easily turn boxes of photos into precious keepsake albums. Educational and motivational hands-on classes will be offered, which will include a free gift and all materials needed to complete a scrapbook page. It is suggested to bring eight to ten themed photos to the class. Space is limited, but open to people of all ages, as long as children under the age of sixteen are accompanied by an adult. Reservations can be made with Marrett at (207) 493-1092 by the day of the class. The scrapbook fundraiser will be the second fundraiser for the CHS Music Building Fund, since the group announced its capital campaign at the Augusta State House on March 14, 2005. A Jazz concert was held on March 31, 2005 at the Caribou Performing Arts Center. Over $400 was collected in donations at the event, which featured performances by the Caribou Middle School Show Choir, Middle School Jazz Band, High School Jazz Band, and the High School Jazz Combos. To RSVP for a scrapbook class or to find out more information about the event, please contact Sandy Marrett at (207) 493-1092. For more information regarding the CHS Music Building Fund, please contact Brandon Bouchard at (207) 227-6611 or visit the Fund's website at www.cariboumusic.org. ###
