Caribou's Music Students
The new center will help to further the musical education for Caribou students by:
   › Providing practice space for the band, chorus, and strings.
   › Creating enough space for current and projected student capacities.
   › Providing acoustically engineered practice spaces.
   › Providing individual and group space for music students to practice.
   › Reducing ensemble set-up times, thereby increasing practice times.
   › Allowing ensemble practices to be recorded for immediate playback
   › Allowing students to utilize music technology by interacting with
     and composing musical pieces.
   › Creating an environment and providing the opportunities, which will
     lead to higher achievement.

Caribou
The new center will eliminate current space limitations for both the Music Department and the Caribou Performing Arts Center (CPAC) by:
   › Organizing and facilitating the storage of department sheet music       with the addition of a music library.
   › Creating adequate office space with the addition of two offices.
   › Creating adequate storage space for instruments and equipment.
   › Using the old band/music room for severely needed CPAC storage.
   › Allowing the CPAC to install a large door at the back of the stage,
     improving access to large equipment and props.
   › Allow dressing rooms to be built for the CPAC.
   › Expand restroom capacity available for CPAC performances through
     the addition of new restroom facilities.

Aroostook County
The new center will benefit Caribou and Aroostook County by:
   › Becoming the first center of it's kind in Northern Maine, where      previously the vast majority of facilities have been located in Southern      Maine.      
   › Serving musicians throughout Aroostook County and the State by
     allowing music festivals, such as the All-Aroostook Music Festival      and various music events to be held at Caribou High School without a      lack of space, which is currently a problem for festivals when they are      held in Aroostook.
   › Allowing surrounding high school and community music groups to      use the facility after school for practices.
   › Providing the opportunity for Aroostook's music ensembles to record      themselves with quality technology
   › Contribute to the general attractiveness of the community, which can
     be a power economic too by attracting increased programming and      families to the region.
